CHEMICAL PEELS

Medium depth chemical peels can be used to improve acne, melasma, sun damage, fine lines, texture, large pores, and dullness. They involve the application of a chemical exfoliant to create controlled damage to an entire layer of skin. This process stimulates regenerative changes and restores the skin’s tone and texture. The procedure is safe for all skin types and downtime is typically less than 7 days.

About Chemical Peels

  • Chemical peels are exfoliating solutions customized for different skin types that create controlled damage to an entire layer of skin. Depending on the peels depth, different skin layers will be targeted, and the application process may vary. This process stimulates regenerative changes and restores the skin’s tone and texture.

VI Peel® is a brand used here at The Vanity Bar and they offer a range of different peels to ensure we have one that meets your needs.

  • A chemical peel involves applying a chemical exfoliant solution to your skin to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate a fresher, younger-looking complexion. When the dull, damaged surface layer of your skin is removed, new, healthier cells grow in its place.

Different types of chemical peels use various acids, some stronger than others. Our practitioners will help you understand the differences and suggest the peel that works best for your skin type and goals.

  • A chemical peel treatment takes about 30 minutes. During the application, you may feel a warming or tingling sensation. Medium depth peels take about 3-7 days of healing. It is essential to avoid direct sun and active skincare ingredients (retinol, vitamin C, etc.) until your skin is fully healed.
VI Peel® offers a variety of peels to choose from so your practitioner will consult with you to determine which one will meet your individual skin goals.

    • Exfoliation: Removes dead skin cells to reveal a fresher layer of skin.

    • Rejuvenation: Stimulates the growth of healthier skin cells.

    • Customizable: Tailored to different skin types and concerns.

    • Youthful Appearance: Helps achieve a radiant and youthful complexion.

    • Minimal Downtime: Light peels offer quick recovery, while deeper peels provide significant benefits with manageable downtime.
